“The three works read as chapters of the same story, all set in the present when America is at war. The exhibition leaves visitors uncomfortable, but these are not bedtime stories and they are not addressed to children.” —Andrea Kirsh

Imaginative Feats Literally Presented: Three Fables for Projection, an exhibition created for Haverford College’s Cantor Fitzgerald Gallery, brought together GuardedFlat Land, and Lost, three installation works by Finley+Muse that explore the visual culture of America’s many contemporary wars.  The exhibition peers through the imaginative gloss of words, photographs, and video images Americans use to prepare themselves for terror and the occupation of Iraq, presenting the lives of those who participate—either willingly or not.
