And the Winner Is Nick Kahn
installation and social practice project

And the Winner is Nick Kahn, an exhibition co-curated with Matthew Callinan, investigated competition, cooperation, and community through a series of artist residencies, curricular interventions, and a massive skee-ball tournament involving all members of the Haverford community: students, faculty, staff, and visitors. The Cantor Fitzgerald Gallery served as the arena for the tournament, which
began March 16th and ended April 20th.

5 lanes. 1,920 players. 11 tournament rounds. One winner. Only at the end of the show will its title, And the Winner Is…, be complete.

Participating Artists and Speakers: Vicky Funari, Cheryl Haworth, Dave Kyu, Shaun El C. Leonardo, Ted Purves, Sal Randolph, Lee Walton, Hank Willis Thomas, and Julie Wyman.

Student Nick Kahn HC ’14 won the tournament, and so the original title, And the Winner Is… became And the Winner is Nick Kahn.
